Founded in 2008, SmartSD started as a Dutch distributor of high‑quality security equipment
By 2022,through rapid expansion and acquisition of France Sécurité Distribution, SmartSD had grown significantly, supported by Smile Invest as financial partner
across In March 2024,Belgian private equity firm Cobepa acquired a majority stake, aligning with SmartSD to scale further via M&A, digital leadership, and European expansion
across In November 2024,SmartSD acquired DERO Security Products (Eindhoven‑based) to enhance its product portfolio and operational capabilities across the Benelux region
